Kolber, originally from Pennsylvania graduated with a master's degree from the University of Miami. Her career in the field began when she was the Video Coordinator at CBS Sports, New York City. She won an Sports Emmy for her work at WTVJ-TV Miami. Other jobs she held included WPLG-TV Miami (and WPEC-TV West Palm Beach). She began working for ESPN in 1993 and became one of the anchors of ESPN2 that was launched. The station was her home for ESPN2 for the ensuing three years, before resigning to join Fox Sports.
